The round brilliant and the cushion halo — a pairing built on contrast and complement. This engagement ring sets a 0.65 CT round brilliant diamond in a four-prong open basket, then frames it within a cushion-shaped halo of close-set round brilliant diamonds. The halo's softly squared outline — four gently rounded corners on a near-square frame — creates a deliberate tension with the circular center stone: the geometry shifts from round to cushion as the eye moves outward, giving the setting a layered visual complexity that a simple round halo does not offer.
The cushion halo sits raised on an open gallery, allowing light to enter the setting from beneath and ensuring the center stone is fully illuminated.
